Urinetown: The Musical

If you are on campus and "like" our Facebook page, you probably haven't been able to escape the barrage of Urinetown propaganda. But while we (the lucky ones who get to promote this fun show) have been painting the campus... yellow, the cast and crew for Urinetown have been working tirelessly to create the best show possible. And, they have.

If you missed opening night on Thursday, you missed an amazing performance! My advice to you would be to run (figuratively or literally) to Ticket Central to get your tickets. There are only 4 more performances and this is a performance you really do not want to miss. This musical is smart, funny and doesn't take for granted the privilege to pee.

Let's just say it's gotten a standing ovation every night (preview and opening) and you will want to be one of those standing and clapping wildly at the end of this show!

Happy Friday! I know it has been a couple of weeks since my last post, but I was just storing up some really great stuff...

January 28th we were lucky enough to have a conversation with J. Anthony Crane ("Scar" from The Lion King touring in Durham). Keep an eye out on our Facebook page of some clips!

The cast of our Student Studio, Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog has been chosen and will start rehearsals at the end of this month.

The Dancing at Lughnasa cast has also been announced and will begin rehearsals the end of February as well.

And if that alone doesn't just tucker you out, there's more!

Urinetown rehearsals are in full swing! The show opens on Thursday, Feb. 17. Our staff, cast and crew have been working hard to create a wonderful world for our audience, as well as promote the show on campus. I have some great video clips that I'm going to post next week on Facebook (you know our students had a lot to say about this show...), but for now, check out pictures from our promotion on the Brickyard:
